Jennifer Moriarty
Principal
Jennifer Moriarty has enjoyed more than three decades in corporate and non-profit finance roles, coupled with extensive involvement in the local community. Jennifer holds an MBA in Operational Management from St. Mary’s University, a BBA in Finance from Texas State University, and has received additional training through numerous banking, compliance and community development training programs. She is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council. Jennifer holds a certificate in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation and is a Board Source Certified Governance Trainer. She is a Qualified Trainer through the Institute of Cultural Affairs and carries a national certification as a Certified ToP® Facilitator (CTF). Jennifer has been approved by the TCC Group as a Core Capacity Assessment Tool (CCAT) Certified Facilitator and is a Barrett Values Center certified consultant.
Prior to launching the Moriarty Consulting Group, Jennifer served as Vice President, Community Development for Wells Fargo Bank for ten years, managing the bank’s commitment to community through lending, investments and grants, volunteerism and services with a specific focus on diverse communities. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Bank, Jennifer served as President of the Community Development Loan Fund, a United States Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institution which specialized in market niches that have not been adequately served by traditional financial institutions by providing financing to small businesses and non-profit organizations. Jennifer also served as the Community Investment Administrator for USAA Federal Savings Bank for eleven years.
Jennifer has vast experience as a nonprofit board member at the national level and within her local community. A graduate of Leadership Texas and Leadership San Antonio, she was recognized as one of San Antonio’s 40 Under 40 Rising Stars by the San Antonio Business Journal. She has received the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Brenda Vickrey Johnson Award for Small Business, UTSA Minority Business Development Center’s Minority Business Advocate in Banking and Finance award, the Juneteenth Legacy Award, the Jewish Family Service Community Service Award, and the United Communities San Antonio Humanitarian Award.
Kevin C. Moriarty

Kevin C. Moriarty has been a central figure in San Antonio’s health care and human services sector for over four decades and continues that role in retirement through consultancy. He was selected in 1996 as the first chief executive officer of Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. — a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating access to health care for low-income families and the uninsured through direct services, community partnerships and strategic grant-making in 74 counties across South Texas.
Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare Ministries, Kevin served as a health and human services public official with the City of San Antonio for over 20 years. Moriarty grew up in New York City. He earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a Master of Science degree in urban studies with concentrations in health and human services planning and data analysis from Hunter College. He has continued his education through the Harvard Business School Executive Program and the Executive Program for Philanthropy Leaders through Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Kevin is recognized for his commitment to nurturing and supporting San Antonio’s health and social sector ecosystem serving as a mentor and advisor. He is a trustee at Shreiner University and was a founding board member for the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute and served for more than 9 years as a steward of the Policy’s mission.
Dr. Kathleen Denny
Analyst
Dr. Kathleen Denny is an analyst and data strategist who believes that quality data is the bedrock of quality decision-making. She is committed to helping agencies advance their internal capacity to collect, analyze, and use data proactively to advance their operations and maximize their impact.
Kathleen earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Maryland where she developed a depth of expertise in research design, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and statistical modeling. Her doctoral work focused on racial, ethnic, and gender inequities in how parents are perceived and rewarded in the workplace. Her published work focuses on assessments of culture, family, and gender inequality using a breadth of research methods, including content and time diary analyses.
Upon returning to her native San Antonio in 2015, she enjoyed two years as a visiting assistant professor of sociology at Trinity University where she developed a love of teaching that continues today. Outside of academia, Kathleen applied her skills as a social analyst in the City of San Antonio’s Department of Human Services working with the City’s major Education initiatives, as well as the City’s Faith-Based Initiative. Kathleen then served as the Director of Data and Research at UP Partnership, a collective impact agency dedicated to educational and youth equity in San Antonio. In this role, she conducted original research, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups, to facilitate collective strategy selection geared toward increasing educational equity in San Antonio. As Director of Data, she launched UP Partnership’s Data Leadership Institute, a free, year-long capacity building program for local non-profits to strengthen staff data capacity.
Kathleen has served as a member on the Alamo Regional Data Alliance, Impact Measurement team for the San Antonio Compassionate Institute, United Way’s Successful Students Impact Council, and the San Antonio Area Foundation’s Strengthening Nonprofits Advisory Committee.
Now in a private consulting practice, Kathleen brings the benefits of her multi-sector career to each new project. Kathleen founded Denny Data Strategies in order to support non-profit organizations in advancing their ability to use data strategically, efficiently, and meaningfully. As a consultant, she has supported non-profit agencies with a wide range of tailored data services, including project-based analysis, report writing, instrument design, one-on-one capacity building, and agency-wide strategic data planning.
